When I initially went to check out Jews Against Obama, I expected to find a community of Jewish people, discussing why they felt Barack Obama was an inappropriate candidate to represent them. Having dated a Jewish person, having a sister who is currently converting to Judaism, I expected a certain amount of insularity and expression of community pride.
Talk about underestimating reality.
What I instead found was a forum that spent equal amount of times discussing the evilness of black culture in particularly offensive terms. In fact, when I first visited the site, the word ‘nigger’ was bandied about with a sort of vicious relish. At some point, the few blacks on the board - many of them who profess to hate blacks and black culture and “distrust black leaders” - politely requested that the racist speech come to a halt.
With no small amount of condescension, the board moderators agreed. Now the forum automatically filters out the word ‘nigger’ and replaces it with the word ’schvartzah’. It’s no surprise that the board is littered with instances of ’schvartzah’, as well as frequent references to ‘monkey’, ‘coon’, ‘ape’, ’spic’, ‘kike’, and any a variety of other colorful phrases.
Without further ado, the site review. This one isn’t pretty.
Title: Jews Against Obama
Slant: Anti-Obama (as well as: Anti-Black, Anti-Anything-That-Isn’t-Either-Jewish-or-”Righteous Gentile”)
Features: A large forum with threads devoted to the perils of “intermarriage” (dating or marriage between races and/or between Jews and Non-Jews) and the “Affirmative Action People Crisis”.
Observations: The domain for Jews Against Obama redirects to the Jewish Task Force (JTF) site, a Kahanist fund-raising organization that raises money for radical Right-wing groups in Israel. The overall arch of the JTF site is to promote values it clarifies in a “7-point Plan“, which includes expelling all illegal aliens and legal ones (upon expiration of visas), ending all US Foreign Aid, and withdrawing from the UN (and banning all UN-related activity on American soil.)
In fact, despite the lure which this site might hold for anti-Obama supporters, the gist of the site has little to do with Obama, and more to do with explaining in lurid and colorful detail how niggers, Communists, and illegal aliens will be the downfall of the United States.
In a brief moment of amusement, on the front page, JTF points out a passage in the Koran that denounces Jews as “apes”, and yet members of the board liberally use the same phrase to describe “blacks.” At this point, it’s quite difficult for VYI.com to take this site seriously at all, as it does little to draw sympathy for the plight of displaced Jews, and does everything to perpetuate stereotypes, spread hatred and– according to Wikipedia.com– fund terrorism.
The site moderators have an indulgently lax policy of mildly chiding people who use hate speech, but subtly encouraging it by allowing such threads as “JB’s Ask the Ape” to remain pinned and bolded at the top of the forum.
Conclusion: In this editor’s opinion, JTF has no real dislike of Barack Obama except that he is a black “Affirmative Action j-boo”, and that hatred of him brings with it an audience to which they can pander separatist and xenophobic sentiments.
To their credit, however, they do spend an equal amount of time hating non-Jewish whites as well. Funny thing being that those people who flock to JTF and Jews Against Obama for some sympathetic Obama-bashing are quite likely being bashed elsewhere on the site.
